I went through the same process, but ended up doing a set up where I load manually with the aid of rollers on the rear. My
boat weighs 82KG and I manage it by myself (but it easier with 2, even my wife). I remove my floor and carry it separately, but I carry life jackets, paddles, bait pump etc in the
boat when it is loaded. Some pics of how in my rig profile.
In my research, I came to the conclusion that if I had got a
loader, it probably would have been a Custom
Boat Loader. I think they are made in
Perth, but they are available throughout Australia.

Hi Norm. Do you find having a
boat on top of a cab rack and ute back rack get affected by chasis flex? cheers crocket.

Crocket, my
boat is supported only by the chassis and canopy. It does not touch the cab.
This is due to the potential problem of separate movement of the cab and tub.
If you look at the pics in my profile, you can see how it is supported on the chassis. On the canopy it simply sits on Rhino bars on top of the canopy.
So far it works very
well.

Hi I purchased a custom
boat loader 12 months ago and I am very happy with it. I have a 3.6 mtr blue finn
boat with a beam of 1.65 mtr and it goes on with ease. The bonus is you can store all your gear up top. While it was rather pricey it is very easy to use.
